A traditional history of the money

1200 B.C.-they started using things like cowrie shells or metal tods as currency. in other parts of the world they used other objects.

700 B.C.- in western turkey at the some time that the first store appeared.

630 B.C.- governments made coins from cheaper metals, not gold or silver.

370 A.C.- a thousand years later in China, people started to put their money in banks to keep it safe.

1661 A.C.- but this system didn´t work well initially because the banks didn´t have enough coins to cover the banknotes.

1690 A.C.- the idea of paper money started to take hold and has stayed with us ever since.
